This
apple originated in Esopus, in Ulster County New York
in the very early 1800s. It is a medium sized apple
with tough skin almost completely covered in deep red.
The flesh is tinged with yellow, firm, crisp and juicy.
It is aromatic with a sprightly subacid taste. |
