The Black Gilliflower is one of the oldest apples
grown here. It was known in Connecticut as early
as the end of the 18th century. It is long and
conical is shape. It has as thick, tough skin.
The flesh is white and tinged with yellow and
has a mild subacid taste. It is aromatic and is
known as a dessert apple. |
